We went to Campus Party Brasil 2008 to talk about the brazilian hacker culture. It was a completly non-technical discussion about hacking, ethics, full disclosure and open source. We talked about what we consider ethical and non-ethical attitudes in the security community, the role of full disclosure, and the benefits of open source.
It was a great event, more than 3,000 people attended, and more than 50,000 people visited the open area. The event had a lot of interesting talks, demos, games, game tournaments, a robotics competition and a hacking challenge, which was set up by Rodrigo. We also met a lot of friends, including some friends from iDefense.
We enjoyed it all.
